A beautiful A-Z book about being AfroBoricua. The Alphabet of Enchantment Island is a story that highlights everything from the term AfroLatinx to the word Wepa. This book is not only a tool for learning, but a form of resistance. Our most communal and prevailing historical thread, is our constant fight for independence. I believe that one day Puerto Rico will have its freedom. The goal of this story is not only to celebrate historical hidden figures like, Marcos Xiorro, Pedro Albizu Campos, and Denise Oliver Velez, but to show our joy even within the persistent struggle, on the road to sovereignty.
